  • ice age's: the great divide is a quality album, but it doesn't stray away from typical 90's sounding progressive metal. ' On all accounts I shall say that ICE AGE, released a very solid album in vain of the true progressive metal spirit and that of the 90's retro classic character to their mu 4/5.

  • "Ice Age" is great hard-edged progressive music, with all it's varied constituents molded together nigh-perfectly. "To Say Goodbye" is the appropriately grand album closer (lots of great piano in this one)/5(20).

  • Ice Age display a more traditional prog rock flavor than many late '90s progressive metal bands on their debut album, The Great Divide ; while there are moments of metal heaviness, the record also harkens back to the neo-classical European sounds of guitarists like Ritchie Blackmore and Michael Schenker, and there are some slick, bombastic, yet catchy tunes that would sit well next to some of the late '70s 6/
